Kookaburras lose Dylan

-

A HAMSTRING injury will keep Labrador Hockey Club’s Dylan Wotherspoon out of the Kookaburras team to play Argentina in the FIH Pro League in Buenos Aires on Sunday.

The 26-year-old Murwillumbah product and fellow forward Trent Mitton (finger) were both injured in Australia’s 4-3 win over New Zealand in Auckland on Thursday and have returned home.

They have been replaced in the 18-man squad by Aaron Kleinschmidt and Wotherspoon’s former Labrador teammate, Corey Weyer.

“A lot of our guys haven’t been to Buenos Aires before so it’s a different challenge. Argentina are tough at home,” coach Colin Batch said.

The Kookaburras sit third in the FIH Pro League standings, with their clash with Argentina to be broadcast live on Kayo Sports and Fox Sports.
