WATERFRONT CHOPPER PAD HEIGHT OF LUXURY

- JESSICA BROWN jessica.brown@news.com.au

THE Glitter Strip is renowned for its flashy mansions but one unlike any other on the Coast has hit the market, and it has a jawdropping price tag to match.

A cinema with an 140inch screen, a formal bar, library, au pair’s quarters and waterside pool are among the landmark residence’s highlights.

But it is the waterfront helicopter pad that makes the Paradise Waters property really stand out.

Marketing agent Robert Graham, of Ray White Prestige Gold Coast, described it as a “rarely available benefit”.

“This is the only home on the Gold Coast that you can land your helicopter on the waterfront,” he said.

It is no surprise that the statement home is listed for a whopping $16.25 million.

Mr Graham sold the vacant land to the owners, who spent years designing and building the home based on decades of experience.

“They’ve taken everything that they’ve learnt throughout their lives to create the ultimate house,” he said. “It was a labour of love.”

He said ill health had forced them to sell it.

The three-storey house was designed by renowned architect Jared Poole.

Mr Graham said it had been affectionately called Tulsa, the name of a relative’s Victorian farm.

A standout feature of that farm, a howitzer cannon, is now proudly displayed at the Paradise Waters home.

The property has a classic design with chandeliers, walls of soaring windows, a cobblestone driveway and grand white balustrades surrounding its perimeter.

It has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and 30m of main river frontage.
