Bennett keeps info to himself

-

SOUTH Sydney coach Wayne Bennett knows every confidential detail about every Brisbane player – but will refuse to overburden his Rabbitohs players with information overload.

And Bennett also revealed he was “not interested” in starting a relationship with the coach who took his job at Brisbane, Anthony Seibold.

Bennett’s Rabbitohs and Seibold’s Broncos meet tonight at ANZ Stadium in what will be one of the most anticipated matches of 2019.

“From my point of view, I’ve just got to be balanced about it and not get too carried away with what I know and don’t know,” Bennett said.

“Because if I give (the players) too much information, that’s not going to help us. We’ve got our game, we know what we’ve got to play and know what we’ve got to do.”

Both deny it but there is dislike between Seibold and Bennett.

Pressed on his relationship with Seibold, Bennett said: “I’ve never had one before and I haven’t got one now. Nothing’s changed there.”

And Bennett wasn’t interested in starting a relationship.

“Not really. It doesn’t interest me, if it happens, it happens.”
