STEGGALL INSIDER INFILTRATES

-

ROWDY Zali Steggall supporters infiltrated the Warringah debate last night, hurling boos and jeers at Tony Abbott while the candidates clashed over electric cars, carbon emissions and policy costings.

Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to discover that Daniel Moller, who asked a debate question about same-sex marriage, was actually a volunteer for Ms Steggall in plain clothes.

Photos soon emerged of the young man at political rallies proudly wearing a Zali Steggall T-shirt.

“No wonder why it’s stacked and Tony Abbott is being heckled,” the viewer who discovered the links wrote on social media.

Mr Abbott was shouted down with laughter and sniggering when he rejected Ms Steggall’s policy to create an independent climate commission during the Sky News/ Manly Daily Warringah Debate yesterday afternoon.

The former prime minister said he thought it was the role of elected leaders to debate emissions targets and warned an independent commission would lead to bureaucrats being given the power to impose rules.
