‘Blu-Tack Bandit’ stuck

-

THE man dubbed the “BluTack Bandit” after he allegedly tried to steal cash by jamming up ATM slots with a sticky substance has paused a second application for bail.

Gunay Seker appeared tired when he faced Southport Magistrates Court yesterday on two counts of attempted stealing and one count each of wilful damage and breaching bail.

The Coolangatta carpet layer is accused of placing a sticky substance over the cashdispensing slot of ATMs in Surfers Paradise, Mermaid Beach and Nobby Beach in February this year.

Seker was denied bail in February but applied to be released yesterday. His lawyer Basil Karsas, of Karsas Lawyers, got part way through the bail application before asking for it to be adjourned.

The bail application was adjourned until June 5.
