NYPD Blue star in jail

ACTOR Rick Schroder (pictured) has been busted for allegedly punching his girlfriend, a report said on Wednesday.

The New York Post reports that police were called to the Los Angeles home of the 49year-old former NYPD Blue actor around 12:40am on Wednesday after reports of a domestic violence incident, TMZ reported.

Authorities interviewed Schroder and his girlfriend and then arrested him for felony domestic violence, the site reported, citing law enforcement sources.

Schroder allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face when she tried to leave the home, according to the outlet.

The girlfriend refused medical treatment at the scene.

The site also reported that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrested Schroder on April 2 — again for felony domestic violence.

He was released in that case after posting bail.

Schroder remains in police custody for Wednesday’s incident with bail set at $US50,000 ($A71,000), according to TMZ.

Back in 2016, Schroder’s then-wife of more than 20 years, Andrea Schroder, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
