Roos ready for toughest test

-

ROBINA’S inaugural Colts team will look to cement their hold on the top rung of the QFA Colts White ladder when they take on Burleigh tonight.

The Roos are sitting pretty on 3-0 after defeats of Coolangatta by 25, Beenleigh by 2, and Coomera by 17, but will face their biggest challenge yet in the Bombers at Bill Godfrey Oval at 7pm.

Coach Trevor Baars said the group was growing in confidence but was wary of the need to remain grounded.

“The guys seem to be getting better and better every time they step onto the field,” Baars said. “It is just important that we continue to work hard on the fundamentals of our game and stay focused on our goals; winning isn’t everything but it is very rewarding for all the hard work we have done thus far.”

In the only other match for the club this weekend, Robina women will meet Mt Gravatt at 4.45pm at Scottdale Reserve tomorrow for round 5 of the QFAW Division 2 South. All other teams have a bye.
