Arrests in teen spree

-

TWO teenagers, one allegedly armed with a metal pole, have entered properties, hurling abuse and threatening occupants on the Tweed Coast.

On Saturday at 9am, two 18-year-olds walked up to an address on Maple St, Bogangar, before allegedly yelling threats and abuse at the occupants inside the home.

Both men were armed, one with a metal pole, the other with a glass bottle.

The pair then left the scene, but went to a home on Oleander Ave and entered through an unlocked front door.

Inside the home the pair allegedly demanded money and threatened the occupants before leaving. They did not end up with anything and no one was injured.

Both men, one from Bogangar and the other from Robina, are facing a string of charges in relation to the alleged incidents.

Both men were refused bail and are due in court today.
