Carjacker takes to roof
A MAN has been arrested after allegedly carjacking a good Samaritan with a knife before climbing on a roof in Adelaide’s south, where police negotiated with him for 90 minutes.
Just after 3am yesterday, a Ford Laser crashed into a stationery car and some rubbish bins in Cumberland Park, but when a witness stopped to check if the 31-year-old was OK, he allegedly pulled a knife and stole his car.
More than an hour later, he was found jumping over back fences in the suburb of Forestville, eventually climbing on to the roof of one house.
