TSS make it two wins from two

-

THE Southport School is firming as a genuine premiership threat in GPS First XI football after sealing their second win in as many games at home to Churchie on Saturday.

A week after opening their campaign with a 1-0 win over champions Nudgee College, TSS came from behind to edge the 2018 runners up 2-1 courtesy of penalties from Josh Dimarco either side of halftime.

“The boys have shown in the first two games they have a real resilience,” First XI coach Joe Dolan said. “(Churchie) were on top in the first half ... but (after falling behind) they got a little bit desperate too early. They started going really direct and obviously our goalkeeper (Ryan Mudaliar) is very good and strong in their air so him and the back four handled everything they threw at us.”

TSS play away to Brisbane state High on Saturday.
