Bolton left to ponder

THIRTY minutes was all it took for weeks of Carlton progress to be undone in a woeful capitulation to North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.

Coach Brendon Bolton was at a loss to explain the 58-point AFL beating that has left the Blues mired in 17th spot ahead of an imposing clash with Collingwood next weekend.

Bolton did not address media until more than an hour after the final siren, having asked “hard questions” of his players after the 120-62 loss.

It was easily the Blues’ worst performance of the season in a worry for Bolton.
