JT back up and running
NORTH Queensland enforcer Jason Taumalolo is ready to fire following a successful return from a knee injury.
The Tongan international was destructive last Friday night in his first game back in the NRL since he ruptured his left knee medial ligament in Round 2 against the Broncos.
Initially, the 117kg forward was expected to be sidelined for up to 10 weeks but he was a late inclusion against the Titans in Townsville. Coach Paul Green’s decision to bring Taumalolo into the starting side and shifting John Asiata to five-eighth proved to be a masterstroke as the Cowboys won for the third time this season.
“Yeah there were (nerves). My first carry, I dropped the ball,” Taumalolo said.
