FISHING

FRESHWATER: Bass in Hinze Dam, particularly around timbered areas. Saratoga caught in the same areas.

JUMPINPIN: Golden trevally, bream and the occasional kingfish around Jumpinpin Bar through to Tipplers Channel. Whiting in the lagoons and Banana Bank area. Bream around Short Island and Crusoe Island.

BROADWATER: Mangrove jack in the Coomera River, particular around Sanctuary Cove. Sea Bream along the rock walls and in Tweed River.

BEACHES: Dart and whiting along the beaches, particularly around Cabarita and Hastings Point.

OFFSHORE: Squire and snapper on the 24 and 36 fathom reefs east of the Seaway, as well as mackerel on the 18 fathom reefs. Pearl perch on the 50 fathom reefs off the Jumpinpin Bar. Wahoo on Nine Mile Reef and the 24 and 36 fathom reefs.
