CLADDING CHECKLIST

Part 1: As of March 29, more than 20,380 buildings statewide that were built or had cladding altered after January 1, 1994 were required to have registered and been checked for cladding risks. Part 2: Over 5026 buildings across Queensland will need to be assessed by a building industry profession­al, which could be an engineer, architect or building assessor. The profession­al must complete a report for the QBCC by May 29. Part 3: If the building is not given the all-clear, the owner is required to engage a fire engineer by August 27. A building Fire Safety Risk Assessment must then be completed by May 3, 2021.
