MORE than 70 guests watched as the crowns were handed out to the Mudgeeraba Show Girl, Miss Mudgeeraba Teen and Rural Ambassador for this year’s Mudgeeraba Show.

Chantelle Barker, a nurse for the Red Cross, was awarded the Miss Mudgeeraba Showgirl title. The runner-up was aspiring music producer Laura Parsons.

Miss Teen Mudgeeraba Showgirl is 16-year-old Sol Brown, who is hoping to pursue a career as a psychologist. Kushi Tumkur was runner-up.

The Mudgeeraba Rural Ambassador went to Ruby Priestley, 23, who said she was passionate about the community and has studied to become a lawyer.

Madison Hebbard, media manager for the Show Society, said with a recent focus on the challenges of farming, the Show aimed to bring a smile to the faces of those doing it tough.

The first official duty for the girls is the Mudgeeraba Ball on May 25. The 91st Mudgeeraba Show is on June 28-30. Visit www.mudgeerabashow.org.au for details.
