Rest is for the wicket
CRICKET Australia believes a 66-day gap between Australian men’s matches at home this summer and a January tour of India must be a one-off.
However the complexity of international scheduling means there are no guarantees.
The Australian men’s team doesn’t play a match at home from the end of the third Test against New Zealand in Sydney on January 7 until a rescheduled ODI clash against New Zealand, again at the SCG, on March 13.
It will be the first time since 1976 Australia have not played a summer one-dayer at home.
