Jewellery heist charges

A MAN has been charged over a break-in involving the theft of $46,000 worth of jewellery in Sydney.

Officers investigating property thefts in the Riverstone area last month, including the jewellery heist, arrested the 27-year-old man on April 21.

Police said he was charged with two property offences and a further seven charges were laid on Tuesday, including two counts of break, enter and steal, receiving stolen property, and two counts of entering enclosed land without lawful excuse.

The man is due to appear in the Blacktown Local Court today.
