Mixed news on injury
ST George Illawarra have put a three-week timeline on Corey Norman’s NRL return while Tyson Frizell is cleared to play this week in a double dose of good news from medical staff.
A run of injuries to key players continued in Sunday’s 32-18 loss to Parramatta, with Norman suffering a fractured cheekbone and Frizell forced off early with a finger to the eye. It was feared star fiveeighth Norman would be out for more than a month before he underwent surgery on Tuesday.
However, Dragons head of athletic performance Nathan Pickworth said the fracture had stabilised well and forecast three weeks on the sideline for the 28-year- old.
“It was a bit of a nasty shot that he got,” Pickworth said.
