BEACHFRONT bar and “Mediterranean playground” Hype Paradiso launched with a splash in Surfers Paradise last week.
The bar and restaurant held its opening night on Thursday with DJ Havana Brown, former Celebrity Apprentice and socialite Roxy Jacenko and Instagram star Pia Muehlenbeck some of those on the guest list.
It took over the space previously occupied by Peppers’ Seaduction Restaurant. Executive chef Joel Bryant, formerly of Oskars on Burleigh, told the Bulletin last week the venue would be “like nothing else” on offer on the Gold Coast.
“It’s going to be one of those great places people will want to meet and be seen in groups,” he said.
“It’s not a bar, it’s not a pub, it is that little bit higher end.”
The Hyde brand is already well known in the US for its bars and restaurants and this opening marks its first Asia Pacific venture.
