Stay posted on pelicans

REST easy, people of Currumbin, the much loved pelican sculptures are safe and will resume their posts soon.

Locals were left wondering what was happening to the sculptures along Currumbin Creek last week when council staff removed the beloved birds.

Local councillor Cr Gail O’Neill revealed the statues will return this week.

“The pelican sculptures were removed while the city undertakes scheduled maintenance work on the posts,” Cr O’Neill said. The pelicans will not be changed.
