WINNING a tight game is the only cure for Bond University’s heartbreaking four-game Queensland Premier Rugby losing streak, according to coach Brad Harris.

The Bull Sharks were on the cusp of losing by a margin of fewer than seven points for the fourth time in six starts this year until Wests scored after the 80th minute to take the core to 40-27 on Saturday.

Harris was content with his players’ efforts but felt they were let down in three areas.

“We made 21 errors and that just gifted the football back to Wests when we got into a position to build some pressure,” he said. “So a combination of our errors and our inability to clear our line after scoring; three times after we scored, they kicked off to us and we made errors. And goalkicking again.”

All four conversion attempts between Harry Nucifora and Dion Taumata were unsuccessful.
