POLICE say a father who said he was evicted from the ALeague semi final in Sydney after trying to take his disabled daughter to a bathroom was actually attempting to access a restricted area alone.

Security and police surrounded the man at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday and later escorted him and his family out of the venue.

The man said he “was assaulted” and his daughter had been “traumatised” but NSW Police said the father had been trying to enter a grandstand alone without a ticket.

“The patron was attempting to gain forceful entry into a restricted area of the stadium,” a spokesperson said. “At the time of the incident, he was not accompanied by any children.”
