LAST HURRAH BEFORE WORK

THERE were some top-flight sports stars in attendance at the ball. Ironwoman extraordinaire Courtney Hancock, with cricketing boyfriend Nicholas Buchanan in tow, was enjoying the fun at the Yuhu Group table. For Courtney it was a last chance to cut loose before she heads into an extended training block to prepare her body and mind for the Coolangatta Gold. Given she has won the gruelling event three times and placed another five, we’re guessing she knows a thing or two about getting ready. Also in the house was another cricketer, dual international Graeme Hick who as batting coach will soon be touring England with the Australia “A” team.
