RATHER amazing to think that the GCMCFACB (that’s Gold Coast Mayoress Charity Foundation Annual Charity Ball to you) is staged by an army of two. The “committee” consists of Mayoress Ruth Tate and Supercars executive Tracey Woodbry (pictured) who between them manage to bring it all together and create a truly magnificent evening. “The secret is to create a long list of things that need to be done and then work through it. It’s not as easy as it sounds,” said Tracey with a grin. However they get it done and the charities which benefit from the night are eternally grateful.
