Sweating on injury

-

THE Gold Coast Knights are hopeful of learning the full extent of Jaiden Walker’s shoulder injury in the next day or two, with the star defender seemingly at long odds to make the NPL trip to Mackay this weekend.

The 22-year-old right back landed heavily on his right shoulder in the lead-up to Olympic’s third goal in Sunday night’s 3-3 draw at Goodwin Park, leaving the Knights to play the remaining half hour with 10 men.

There were initial fears he had dislocated his shoulder but coach Grae Piddick said that had not been confirmed.

“Not sure if it was a full dislocation,” Piddick told the Bulletin.
