STRIPPER’S BAD NIGHT WITH STAR
‘SHE LOST IT’ AT ACTOR
A GOLD Coast stripper accused of glassing Neighbours heart-throb Scott McGregor told cops that she’d been having “a really bad night and just lost her s--t”, court documents allege.
Danielle Lee, 25, faced Southport Magistrates Court charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed.
The exotic dancer, who performed under the stage name Ivy, allegedly attacked the recently married soap star at Hollywood Showgirls strip club in Surfers Paradise last month.
Court documents allege the incident happened just before 2am on April 6 when Lee approached McGregor, who was seated at a table in the strip club lounge, and they had a conversation.
What was said wasn’t detailed, but Lee allegedly walked away, picked up an empty “short, heavy drinking glass” and hurled it towards the Melbourne-based actor.
“The glass has hit the victim in the face, causing a deep laceration to his top lip,” police allege in a statement of facts.
McGregor was assessed by paramedics and taken to a medical centre, where he had three stitches to the wound.
The doctor’s visit cost McGregor $80 and he needed another $95 worth of treatment after the injury became infected, police state.
They seized CCTV footage, which “clearly shows the offence”, court documents allege.
Lee was bailed to reappear in court on June 7.
Police have said Lee was immediately remorseful and her actions were “totally out of character”.
Lee’s solicitor Dave Garratt, of Howden Saggers Lawyers, said outside court Lee would contest the charges.
At the time of the alleged incident, Hollywood owner Craig Duffy said he had decided to sack her on the spot.
