SURF FORECAST
TODAY: Mix of smaller East and new South groundswell. Sets up to 2 to 3ft across exposed and south-facing beaches, inconsistent in the upper range. Grading to 1 to 2ft along the points and inside the bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: WSW to SW 5 to 10 knots, tending SSE 10 to 15 knots in the arvo, up to 15 to 20 knots from Ballina south.
THURSDAY: Inconsistent Easterly tradewind swell ranging from 2 to 3ft along exposed coasts, mixing with small, long-range South groundswell at similar levels across northern NSW south-facing breaks, with scope for a rise towards 2 to 4ft in the late afternoon. WIND: Early SW to SSW 5 to 10 knots, turning South to SSE 10 to 15 knots through the afternoon.
FRIDAY: Stronger South groundswell moves in. Sets up to 3 to 4ft across northern NSW south-fading beaches. Combining with smaller Easterly swell up to a slow 2 to 3ft along exposed coasts, grading to more like 1 to 2ft along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early light WSW to SW tending SE to ESE 5 to 15 knots during the afternoon.
