Teen accused of being over limit
A TEENAGE driver will face Byron Bay Local Court on Monday accused of blowing more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit.
On May 11, the 18-year-old woman from Varsity Lakes was stopped by police in Shirley St, Byron Bay where a random breath test allegedly revealed a positive blood-alcohol reading.
A second breath test at Byron Bay Police Station allegedly produced a result of 0.168. The limit is 0.05.
Her licence was suspended immediately.
