Bulldogs bite Coomera

BURLEIGH Heads survived a scare from Coomera on Tuesday night to continue their charge towards the Gold Coast Premier League title.

The Bulldogs overturned a 1-0 deficit to prevail 3-1 at Viney Park, their eighth win in as many games this season.

Yuto Okada opened the scoring for the Colts, before Burleigh’s lethal strike partnership of Matt Hilton (two) and David Mutch bagged goals of their own for the visitors.

At Nikiforides Family Park, Broadbeach United returned to the top four with an upset 3-2 win over Surfers Paradise.

The Dolphins trailed 2-1 at halftime but strikes from Tim Kerwick, Shaun Robinson and man-of-the-match Tomoki Asakawa helped seal their fourth win of the season.

Nerang edged Palm Beach 3-2 in a crucial battle at Glennon Park.
