Super chance for McGahan

A MAJOR punt on the son of Kiwi rugby league great Hugh McGahan has introduced a new Queensland Reds fullback to the interstate game for his first Super Rugby in three years.

The Reds have selected former Blues back Matt McGahan as their fourth fullback of the season for tomorrow’s clash with the Waratahs in Brisbane. McGahan’s last Super Rugby appearance at Suncorp, in 2016, produced one of the code’s most hilarious dives when he chased a kick before collapsing to milk a penalty.
