Rain check to cost Kyrgios

-

NICK Kyrgios is among a host of players who could be forced to play catch-up after heavy rain washed out most of the play at the Italian Open in Rome on Wednesday.

Kyrgios was scheduled to play his second round clash with Norwegian qualifier Casper Ruud but could only sit and wait, along with leading seeds including Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

They are among a large number of players who will likely be forced to play two matches today.
