Trio sticks with Lions

-

BRISBANE trio Connor Ballenden, Tom Joyce and James Madden are punting on a Lions legacy.

While all three are integral players in the NEAFL’s undefeated side, they are yet to debut at the top level.

Competition for spots has denied them that opportunity but that hasn’t stopped them signing contract extensions with the club until at least the end of 2021.

It’s a stirring vote of confidence in Chris Fagan and his squad ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Adelaide and Ballenden is determined to crack the match-day side.

The two-metre man has enjoyed his new defensive role after playing predominately in the forward line through juniors and is buying into the newlook Lions.

“The positivity and growth as a whole playing group is very encouraging and something I am really enjoying,” he said.
