Roos hops to MVP mix
SOUTHPORT midfielder Tyler Roos has moved into the top five in the NEAFL MVP voting after polling maximum votes in the win over Northern Territory last weekend.
Transitioning from defence to midfield this season, Roos was superb in Southport’s 11point victory, collecting 38 disposals, seven tackles and five clearances; jumping to fifth place after being the only player in Round 6 to attract maximum votes.
Gold Coast Suns pair Will Brodie and Tom Nicholls polled five votes each for their efforts in the team’s win over Aspley at Voxson Oval.
Southport star Matt Shaw still tops the leaderboard.
