Seven hurt in shooting

A SHOOTING at an off-campus party in the US state of Indiana has left seven people wounded, three of them critically, police say.

It’s not clear how many people might have opened fire at the premises near Ball State University early on Saturday, but police say one man is in custody. One of the wounded had to be flown to a hospital in Indianapolis, about 80km southwest of Muncie, Police Chief Joe Winkle told WXINTV. Mr Winkle said it appeared the shooting happened after “some kind of confrontation inside the house”.
