Roos in full flight

-

ROBINA’S seniors finally mustered the form they had promised all year, downing home side Alexandra Hills in Round 8 of QFA Division 2 on Saturday.

After a lacklustre first half, the Roos went into the sheds at Swoosh Finance Oval behind by three goals. An appeal from playing-coach Mark Vigus at halftime was enough to spark a remarkable turnaround, with the Roos catapulting themselves to victory with a 10goal-to-one second half, winning 9.7 (61) to 14.8 (92).

Midfielder and captain David Manning had the Sherrin on a string, producing his best game of the season, and talls Joel Stevenson (4 goals) and Caleb Hay (3 goals) were unstoppable.

The Roos Twos were beaten 13.9 (87) to 7.7 (49).

Robina’s Colts beat the Bombers by 13 and the club’s QFAW Division 1 outfit taught Kedron a lesson at EK Anderson Oval, winning 34-3.
