Streak down in flames

-

THE Southport School remain atop the GPS Football first XI ladder despite being brought back to earth on Saturday.

Playing at home and looking for their fourth straight victory to start the season, TSS were instead handed a 6-2 drubbing by Toowoomba Grammar. Eli Adams posted a hat-trick for the visitors, who also had Luke Lister, Mcdonald Fletcher and Zach Mcnicol find the back of the net.

Both of TSS’ goals were scored by Sam Bedingfield.

Despite the result – which sees them become the only team in the top five with a negative differential – TSS still have the outright lead by two points from Ipswich Grammar.

Next up is a clash with winless Brisbane Grammar.
