With less than 10% of the vote, hopefully Sally Spain & all her lefty mates might now stop claiming to speak on behalf of the majority of Gold Coasters

Well done Anna, Jackie and the Jones Girl for sneaking up the cost of car Rego and Drivers licences to pay for your cross river rail, while everyone was busy analysing the Federal election. Roll on the State elections so we can vote for a honest Premier who has the in terests of all Queenslanders at Heart, now get on with Adani, this may help pay for Cross River Rail. X Labor Voter Robina.

Re the election,I did what the would be treasurer Bowen suggested “if you don’t like our policy vote for the other mob” so I did. Self funded retiree

Attended the Blues Festival on weekend and Noticed how supportive the Gold Coast City council is for getting people to attend this free event with alot of streets closed off and not everybody able to catch the light rail in but the Parking Inspectors still have the nerve to book people on such a day – a spoiled day for some # philbert the frog

What a great Country we live in.Where else could you find a Prime Minister out enjoying the rugby league, wearing his teams colours, having beer just like any other person, how refreshing. Mike

Name checked off the Roll then told “pencil not pen” to be used. My reply “no legal document in the World can be signed in pencil, this is a legal document which will be done in pen”!! Old Crock

The ALP election results since the 80’s show that Hawkey and Rudd had the best results (left wingers) while Keating and Gillard had the worst (right wingers)

Great news about Coalition win. Unfortunately sad news for the NSW Northern Rivers who are still stuck with an unpopular Labour member who is only there because of Greens preferences. MC, Murwillumbah

Reading the Bulletin this morning and checking out the election results, I was wondering how much more of a landslide the LNP would have had if Bob Hawke hadn’t passed away this week. ET, Robina

All the well heeled Liberals are buying a new investment home tomorrow to celebrate

The punter who put a million on shifty Bill to win the Election is packing up to move to

the small end of town

One good thing from this election for GC, finally no more rubbish about who’s going to pay for M1! It’s ALL LNP now Fix It!! J How dumb are some of this current generation, fancy youths trying to board a tram carrying a surf board, may i ask the question that is on the older generation’s lips, ‘what the hell are we breeding’? Max, Southport.

Oi the reason nearly all of Qld voted LNP was when Shorten endorsed those Greenoes going to central Qld to protest the Adani mine!

As soon as shorten came up with the stupid electric car and negative gearing stuff that was the end of him..what an idiot.. d.a.luig.

Well done Australia, stopped the Labour government / CFMEU distroying the construction industry. One to go, vote out Labour in Queensland next election and stop the CFMEU further destroying the construction industry in Queensland.

I had to chuckle when they asked Bill Shorten what went wrong and he replied that Labor didn’t get enough votes. And if that little gem wasn’t enough, he’s come out and endorsed the other half of the failed team, good old Tanya. Endorsement by Bill is akin to a kiss of death. GT

see the Voice is still the same. overrated. overacted.script written..tear jerky rot its always been...geogie boy walked out.shame it wasnt a pied piper effect...bistro bob

So Steady Eddie beat Turmoil Bill to lead our country further into mediocrity! Where is the messiah when you need one? Where is the charismatic one that can lead us out of the wilderness of apathy and bland politics? I am sure he / her is out there, please note SOS. B

Another election over & the same old result, personalising the definition of insanity! Time and again we roll between labor and liberal with no discernible improvement in our lot in life! Why do we not have the b;)(s to vote for a visionary party or leader?, is that because since Whitlam and perhaps the more politically astute Bob (god rest his soul, or both their souls), we have not had a visionary to vote for? Same old cookie cutter conservative platforms and leaders time after time! Boy we are in the doldrums. Barry C

The huge support for the Lib/ Dems in Queensland clearly sends a message to Palaszczuk that her Labor Government is very much ‘on the nose’
