FORMER Test cricket opener Michael Slater has apologised after reportedly being booted off a Sydney to Wagga flight after engaging in an argument with two women.

Witnesses told Sydney radio 2GB the cricket commentato­r locked himself in the plane’s lavatory on Sunday afternoon and refused to leave, preventing the flight from taking off.

The 74-Test great confirmed via a statement to Macquarie Radio that he had been in an “argument with two friends” and apologised to fellow passengers for the disruption.
