Slats stumps plane flight

FORMER Test cricket opener Michael Slater has apologised after reportedly being booted off a Sydney to Wagga flight after engaging in an argument with two women.

Witnesses told Sydney radio 2GB the cricket commentator locked himself in the plane’s lavatory on Sunday afternoon and refused to leave, preventing the flight from taking off.

The 74-Test great confirmed via a statement to Macquarie Radio that he had been in an “argument with two friends” and apologised to fellow passengers for the disruption.
