LLOYD’S MEGA MAIN BEACH SALE
BUSINESSMAN Keith Lloyd has offloaded his beachfront trophy home in a multi-million-dollar deal.
The former shipbuilder and founder of Shafston International College listed the lavish apartment in Main Beach’s Ocean Isles building in March.
He offered to throw his superyacht into the mix as part of a package deal with a $13 million price tag and even considered a trade at one point.
However, marketing agent Lucy Cole said the local buyers only wanted the three-bedroom residence.
She wouldn’t reveal a sale price but said it was close to the apartment’s $7.5 million asking price.
“It didn’t involve the boat, the boat has gone to Sydney,” said Ms Cole, managing director of Lucy Cole Prestige Properties.
“We had an excellent response to the marketing.”
The sale has potentially set a new mark for the fourlevel building, which only has five apartments.
The same apartment holds the record after selling for $6.42 million in 2007.
Ms Cole said the move would be a downsize for the buyers who were saying goodbye to the family home.
