Mr Duffy, the man behind Hollywood Showgirls strip club and The Tipsy Pig live music bar underneath it, plans to renovate the basement space to create the 533sq m space, which will be accessible by a stairwell and lift.

According to the it will contain:

● An “entertainment lounge”

● Up to seven pool tables

Before entering hospitality, Mr Duffy travelled the world as a professional pool and snooker player, racking up Australian and international titles.

It is just the latest new nightspot planned for Orchid Ave.

The Gold Coast Bulletin last month revealed an empty shopfront will be transformed into a brewery, bar and restaurant as the Gold Coast taps into the lucrative beer tourism market.

BOB (Best of Beers) will be created on the corner of Elkhorn and Orchid Aves and has been welcomed by nightlife figures.

New bar Taboo Tiki also opened earlier this year on Orchid Avenue in a tenancy let out by Mr Duffy. night declined
