To Miner, wish people like you would do your research before making a fool of yourself. Professor Peter Ridd’s court win had nothing to do with the subject of Reef Science. His win was a result of a technical issue relating to his re-employment chances. Reef science is important and must be maintained. Anyone who has visited the reef recently would have seen the amount of coral bleaching for themselves. The sooner we accept a problem the sooner we can fix it. Rick

I have lived on the Gold Coast my entire 49 years on this earth. Never has there been a fire emergency as to what is happening in the Hinterland now. The outstanding work of the RFS and QFS is to be commended as is the community spirit of Canungra. But one question is really troubling me. If these people were allowed

to remove trees/folage to negate extra fuel in case of a catastrophic fire event as we have now and were stopped by the bloody Greens or Council then they should hang their heads in shame.

Oh great – Labor premier is spending our on Olympics – well premier, how about doing what you are paid to do! That money could be well used for water – fire relief for Qld towns. Here you are grandstanding for whose gain? This

The miner that states in Chatroom 9/9, that Peter Ridd’s winning court case over JCU, shows reef science is flawed, is obviously unaware that only “academic freedom of speech”, was on trial, and not climate change.
