Far northern NSW: Potential for 2 to 4ft sets south-facing breaks, wrapping at more like 2 to 3ft along open beaches with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld: Wrapping at about 2ft+ across exposed beaches, grading to 1 to 2ft elsewhere. WIND: Light SW, SSW 10 to 15 knots, tending light and variable during the day, then NE 5 to 15 knots in the afternoon.

TOMORROW: Small South swell potentiall­y combining with minor ENE swell. Far northern NSW: Ranging from 2 to 3ft exposed open and south-facing beaches, Grading to 1 to 2ft+ elsewhere with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld: Around 1 to 2ft along exposed beaches, smaller elsewhere. WIND: Early light and variable WNW to WSW, tending NE 10 to15 knots during the afternoon.

FRIDAY: Potential for slight Easterly swell underpinne­d by long-period South groundswel­l. Far northern NSW: Potential for inconsiste­nt 3 to 4ft sets across south facing-breaks, wrapping at 2 to 3ft elsewhere with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld: Scope for Easterly swell up 2 to 3ft exposed breaks, revisions likely. WIND: Early light West to WNW 5 to 10 knots, tending NE 10 to 15 knots.

SATURDAY: Short period Easterly swell mixing with residual South swell. Far northern NSW: Around 2 to 3ft, exposed open beaches, grading smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld: Up to 2 to 3ft along exposed open beaches, otherwise smaller elsewhere. WIND: NNW, Northerly around 10 knots, tending NNE 10 to 15 knots.

SUNDAY: Good potential for short-period Easterly swell. Around 2 to 3ft exposed breaks, grading smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. WIND: Northerly, NNE 10 to 20 knots
