RICH REWARDS FOR WINTER’S HOME MAKEOVER

- MIKAELA DAY

CELEBRITY real estate agent and TV presenter Andrew Winter has sold his glamorous Gold Coast home and is already focusing on his next project.

The Selling Houses Australia and Love It or List It host’s waterfront house at Sanctuary Cove, which he shared with wife Caroline, fetched $3.05 million.

The five-bedroom house at 7394 Marine Dve East hit the market with a

$3.95 million price tag in January, according to real estate records.

The property guru spent a year transforming it from a Tuscan-inspired abode to a modern home after purchasing it for $1.9 million in 2017.

“It (the sale) is very exciting, we have had three houses in Sanctuary Cove and enjoyed living there immensely,” Mr Winter told the Bulletin.

“But our family has moved on and we wanted a change of lifestyle and that’s why we headed to the beach.”

CoreLogic records show Winter and his wife splashed $1.525 million on a Mermaid Beach house just four doors back from the beach in February.

The couple is wasting no time on the knockdown and rebuild, with the land set to be surveyed today to begin the process.

“The architect is working on it as we speak,” Mr Winter said. “Because it’s in a more urban location, it couldn’t be more different to what we have just sold. “We are going up rather than out to get those lovely ocean glimpses.” Amir Prestige Property Agents principal

Amir Mian, who sold the luxury Sanctuary Cove listing alongside Charlon Delos Angeles, said the new owners would secure the keys before Christmas.

“The buyers are from Brisbane and are buying this as a family home,” he said.

“They are looking forward to moving in. It’s a stunning home and they loved everything about the house, position and view.”

The U-shaped house featured a resort-style backyard with a pool, waterfront deck and a sophisticated fit-out inside.
