I received a generic email from my real estate reminding me of my obligation to pay my rent on time or face a breach notice. While I’m fortunate to be in a good position for now, I can only imagine the outrage of those receiving the same email who had just been put off. Disgraceful. Coaster.

I have a son in the travel industry and a daughter in the golf industry. Both have lost their jobs and have to go on Centrelink. I go past Broadbeach and see everything is as per normal on high-rise sites. How is it that people are losing their jobs, businesses are shutting but high-rise construction keeps going? The two towers at the Star Casino still are business as usual. Workers side by side, sharing the outside hoist which takes them from floor to floor. Really is it one rule for the greater community and another for the high-rise industry.

I’ve got 3 grandchildren aged 22, 17 and 11 and they are handling this virus crisis as admirably as any adult. Their mature attitude puts your negative comments to shame. Why are our Kiwi friends being excluded from the financial help afforded to us? They too have mortgages, rent and bills to pay. The contempt shown towards them by the government is disgusting. These folk work just as hard as everyone else and they also deserve help. Gary

For the last 2 weeks Annastacia has been grandstanding on TV saying for the public to not be in groups, yet she is playing Russian roulette with Qld lives by telling everyone to go ahead and queue up in big groups in the election lines.
