The Gold Coast Bulletin

Bulletin still proudly fighting for the GC

- RACHEL HANCOCK Gold Coast Bulletin editor

DEAR Readers,

All of us at the Gold Coast

Bulletin are passionate about our city and consider it a privilege to serve our readers daily.

Like you, we live here, we’re locals, we are your neighbours, we are your friends. We love this community and the issues that matter to you, matter to us.

For the past 135 years the

Bulletin has told the stories that matter to you, and never has that been more evident than during the coronavirus crisis.

Yesterday, News Corp announced that many of its community and regional titles across Queensland and New South Wales would transition to digital-only mastheads, bringing the end to the printed products in those communities.

On the Gold Coast, that means the Gold Coast Sun free community newspaper will cease as a publication on Wednesday, June 24.

On the Tweed, the Tweed

Daily News will go to press for the last time on Saturday, June 27.

But that does not mean our commitment to hyperlocal news ends there. Our passionate team of reporters will continue to uncover those wonderful stories in our communities and bring them to life through the Gold Coast

Bulletin printed and digital products, and on the Tweed at tweeddailynews.com.au.

Our commitment to local journalism remains unchanged. Every day, tens of thousands of readers turn to the Bulletin. We are the biggest, and best, newsroom on the Gold Coast and will continue to be so for many years to come.

The Gold Coast Bulletin is not going anywhere. I am so proud that every day we fight for our city, we champion its causes and feel its pain.

We fight for you, our loyal reader. Always.

Because when it matters most, we’re for you.
