When is something going to be done about the speeding bikes, electric skateboards, scooters etc on the surfers paradise esplanade footpath. Someone is going to be seriously hurt. Time for some speed bumps to slow them down as it is no picnic for us walkers. Yogi Bear

Spoke to a plumber last week and dentist today and they’ve both said “do you think we can get anyone applying for the position with job keeper around”. I say get rid of it. It’s creating fat cats and business that shouldn’t be trading at the cost of the average taxpayer.

To all you early morning bike riders out there , as I was on my way to work down Napper road Arundel at approximately 6.30 I was totally gobsmacked by the stupidity of most riders concerned, you cannot move out of your bike lane without looking over your shoulder to travel down the hill in the middle of the road, you cannot just cut off a car like that without giving some sort of indication that u are coming out. A big accident waiting to happen. This happened 3 times down the hill. My god wake up to yourselves or maybe next week you won’t wake up. The Stalker.

Pretty much against border move. Means as a resident on Murwillumbah, can’t visit Tweed Mall to shop. Why can’t a solution be reached for those iho live closer. A different sort of pass methinks. The Watcher

Tate, palaszczuk, berejiklian and milne – i will say it again – move the checkpoints not the border. Action not talk. Paul. Tugun.

Australian Rugby in financial stress yet forks out a $3 million deal for young up and coming NRL star. Good case for Folau to get all the money still owed to him I reckon. Doug

Doesn’t matter if or where “border” is, folk will still be affected! Yes indeed, it’s a great big pain in our butts for absolute sure! However, let’s not lose sight of why it’s happening. I for one, would MUCH prefer to be sitting in traffic than gasping for breath, hooked up to a respirator (if available) fighting for life in Intensive Care Unit!

I am getting hammered by robo scam phonecalls at all hours out of Sydney and London. Isn’t it time our Telcos were held responsible ... emails included.

If the border is moved south Aldi Tweed Heads won’t be able to sell cheap beer etc. Not happy Jan. Johnbrew

I am a kiwi living in your wonderful country and l am a labourer in the construction

industry... l get responsibilities given to me that l really can’t handle but my employer seems to have faith in me... yep l love Australia... Lionel

As if it wasn’t enough to have 2 nut cases running for US President. Throw in the rapper & now there are 3! What a smart country!

Retail staff served a woman in Westfield Shopping Centre in Brisbane who was from Victoria

and said her family has been in Qld for 2 weeks. They first stayed just over the border in NSW then used an Uber with Qld plates to get over the border into Qld. How do you police this? There could be hundreds doing the same!

Why would a child be removed from a loving foster home of ten years? That poor girl. Something radically wrong. Makes my skin crawl at the thought of her on the street with a staph wound and vulnerable. Heads should roll

The NSW-QLD border follows a very uneven path from the Cook Memorial west all the way out to Mungindi before it becomes a straight line through Hungerford & on to Cameron Corner. This was traditionally so various property holders property remained in either State. The obvious simple geographic solution would be to move Cameron Corner North & run a straight line from Cape Byron. Everything North of Cape Byron is then in QLD. How to redistribute & compensate for land though?

Flicka if the 12 year old ran away from hospital what can the hospital do. I’ve discharged myself from hospital against doctors advice. If she wants to go live on the street it’s her choice, if you want to blame someone try the idiot no hoper kids gangs on the street.

Re: David Hall’s comment Re: Gladys Berejiklian (GCB 22/7). I don’t think your comment was warranted Re: NSW Premier! She has done tough yards in her early days to get where she is now & she has a lot of weight on her shoulders! Ms Berejiklian is doing her best in challenging circumstances.

The LARGE number of dopes blowing their supa on toys will be wanting the age pension. Budget for it scomo and retain ozy industry. Doc.

Kate Jones in Wed Bully says “More needs to be done to ensure the long term survival of the tourism industry”. Yes Kate – so what are you doing about it other than trying to blame others?

Well premier – suggestion – get the economy going and open a travel bubble to NZ!! Qld good, NZ good, so what is problem. Vic is good distance away from us – heavy policing if border & max fines for those who disregard! Ex patrol officer

If I go into a bank am to wear a mask?
