THE Australian Naturist Federation is hosting an event at Burleigh Heads on Monday night to gauge community interest in hosting nude lifestyle events on the Gold Coast.

Club general secretary Kerry said the 8pm meeting was an initial public opportunity for naturists and property owners to meet with the president of an existing Sunshine

Coast club with more than 30 years’ history.

He said the city’s naturist community was invited to discuss thoughts in regards to events in community halls or nearby “safe place” properties.

The “clothed” event costs $5, to cover the cost of hiring Fradgley Hall located above the Burleigh Heads Library. All attendees must show photo ID and sign in.

“We take the safety, security and privacy of our members and guests seriously,” Kerry said. “As a clothed event, folk will not be invited to go minimal dress or less, at this public meeting.”

A minimal dress or less is a standard we have, especially for shy or new ladies, being a sarong tied at the top, middle or, when comfortable, totally apparel-free.”

Kerry said to ensure the privacy of others, a Band-Aid would be placed over the lens of mobile phones. “Sun safety is important and many of our members and guests are as white as milk. The naturist community is not about sex; however, it can be sensual. First-time couples often indicate … they have gone back home and enjoyed a renewal in their personal encounters.”
