Seafood eatery is quite the catch

-

A HIGH-profile waterfront restaurant in the heart of Tweed Heads is expected to pique the interest of investors and developers when it goes under the hammer this month.

Get Hooked Seafoods has been serving up fresh and cooked seafood since 1977 from the 1943sq m site at 2 River Tce in Tweed River Harbour.

Owner John Feitelson has tapped Kollosche’s Tony Grbcic and Chris Towers of Towers Francis Property to market the asset in an auction campaign ending on March 28.

The business generates a gross rental income of about $96,000 per annum for the property. A lease agreement is in place until May 2022 with the option to extend.

Mr Grbcic called the sale a “one-of-a-kind opportunity” in a premier lifestyle location.

“Tweed Heads and the Far North Coast region of NSW are experiencing rapid growth in both population and sectors such as health, construction, retail, education and tourism,” Mr Grbcic said.

“Investors and developers will recognise the opportunity to capitalise on a site with direct water frontage in proximity to amenities and local infrastructure.

“There is nothing else like it on the market in this Tweed region.”

The site comprises 963sq m of freehold title and 980sq m of Crown leased area, 32.2m road frontage to River Tce, and approximately 40.5m of direct water frontage.

It is zoned mixed-use and could be used for a variety of potential development opportunities. “Any future development would take advantage of river and ocean views,” Mr Grbcic said.

The auction will take place onsite on 28 March at 11am.
