HIGH-FLIER’S MEGA MANSION FOR SALE
LUXURY developer and one-time Gold Coast real estate agent Kevin Carlin is selling his hinterland mega mansion.
US-born Mr Carlin acquired the 7358sq m block in 2014 for $515,000.
Set in one of Tallai’s most coveted streets, 9 Grandview Tce is surrounded by manicured gardens reminiscent of an Italian villa, and include an extensive orchard laden with fruit and vegetables.
The house comes with dual offices, an additional underground office with separate external access, a home cinema, gymnasium, hot rock sauna and wet bar, rainwater tanks as well as a pool with a winding water slide for family fun.
The property hit the market this month through Kollosche agent Brad Coyne. It is listed for sale for $3.795m.
Mr Carlin is in Queenstown where he is building a glitzy six-star ski resort. The high-flier hit headlines in January ahead of the launch of Private Jets Ltd, an on-demand private jet service offering chartered flights between the tourism meccas of the Gold Coast and Queenstown.
Mr Carlin’s past personal and entrepreneurial endeavours include composing and performing a tribute music CD for Princess Diana, running a catering business enlisted to provide backstage food services for the likes of Van Halen, The Police, Tom Petty, Foreigner and Olivia Newton-John, and selling a mobile kitchen he designed and patented to the US military before offloading the business to a company that had Hillary Clinton on its board.
