Queen heads into new life driving her Jag

The Queen was seen leaving Windsor Castle in her Jaguar.

THE grieving Queen poignantly drove off into her new life alone on Monday as she left Windsor Castle at the wheel of her Jaguar, with two of her dogs reportedly in the back.

Seen for the first time since the Royal Family emotionally farewelled Prince Phillip, she wore a trademark floral headscarf as she ventured out of her private apartments where she had retired with her Ladyin-Waiting Lady Susan Hussey immediately after Saturday’s service.

The Queen is facing a quiet 95th birthday on Wednesday at Windsor Castle without her beloved husband of 73 years.

However, it may yet include Prince Harry after he reportedly spent two hours with his brother William, 38, and their dad Charles, 72, at the castle following the funeral.

It was the first time the trio had been together since Megxit and the first time they had all spoken since Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle’s bombshell Oprah Winfrey TV interview, sparking hopes of a peace between the warring brothers.

“It’s early days but you’d hope this is exactly the first step Philip would have wished for,” a source told The Sun newspaper.

Another told the newspaper: “It is not known what was said behind closed doors and when the cameras were turned off, but it’s unfathomable to think Megxit and Oprah did not come up.”

Prince Harry was expected to return to LA and his wife, who is about seven months’ pregnant with their second child, after a predicted stroll around Windsor with a devastated Prince Charles to view the tributes left for the Duke of Edinburgh.

His trip to his new home may now be postponed.
